Joyce (White) McElroy

Ms. Wilma Joyce White McElroy, age 86, of York, SC passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 9th, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Monday, November 13th, 2023 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC.  After the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery of York, SC with Reverend Brock Vosburgh officiating.

Joyce was born on March 7th, 1937 in York, SC. She was the daughter of the late Bradford White and Dorothy Alderman White and the widow of Bobby Joe McElroy. She was a member of Bible Covenant Community Church in York, SC.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Libby Girard (Bill), Susan McElroy; her son, Steve McElroy (Brenda); her grandchildren: Brent Girard, Kinsey Girard Doster, Joey McElroy Hester, and Kacie McElroy; her great grandchildren: Conner and Asher Hester, Grayson McElroy, and Luke Doster; her sister, Dale Freeze; and her sister-n-law, Frances Nivens.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Tommy McElroy and his wife, Ruth; her sister, Doris Jenkins, and her brother, Louis White.
