Joyce (Hill) Jones

Mrs. Joyce Hill Jones, age 90, of York, SC, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Spring Oak in York, SC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00–8:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Filbert Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, located at 2066 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. A graveside service will be held privately for the family.

Born on January 30, 1935, in York, SC, Joyce was the daughter of the late Beauregard “B.G.” Hill and Maggie E. Parker Hill. She was the beloved widow of Floyd David Jones. Joyce was a graduate of York High School and a longtime member of Filbert Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her children, James “Jimmy” David Jones (Patricia) and Barbara Jones Clark (Billy). Also surviving are her grandchildren: Hannah Taylor (Daniel), Lauren Jones, Will Clark, and Ben Clark; her great-grandchildren, Rachel Ann Taylor and Ryder Clark; her brother-in-law, Johnny Miller; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her siblings: Evelyn Carpenter, Gus Hill, James Hill, Lindsey Hill, Donald Hill, Kenneth Hill, and Brenda Miller.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Filbert Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2066 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745.
