John Joseph Turner

John Joseph Turner, 63, of York, SC passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at Union Baptist Church of Filbert, SC with the Reverend Ray Long officiating, a private burial will follow. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

John was born on December 28, 1958, in Gastonia, NC. He was the son of the late Fleece and Esther Todd Heffner. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Dover Turner. 

 John is survived by his sons Howard Crowder of York, SC, Frankie Crowder, of York, SC and daughters Lisa Varalli (Jodie), of Clover, SC, and Angela Roberts (John) of York, SC, his grandchildren: Harlee Turner, Boston and Payton Roberts, Logan and Alli Varalli, Jessica Atkinson, Alan, Dusty, Derick and Abby Crowder, Jenna Champion, Kaitlynn Jefferies, and great grandchildren: Annsleigh and Camden Atkinson, Harrison Crowder, Kinley Roberts and Amelia Crowder.
