Joanne (McClellan) Williams

Mrs. Joanne McClellan Williams, 83, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Ebenezer ARP Church Parlor, located at 2132 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary, officiated by Dr. Matt Allison and Dr. Mel Wines. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Joanne was born on April 25, 1941, in Greenville, SC, to the late Frank L. McClellan and Leona Walker McClellan. She was a devoted member of Ebenezer ARP Church and had a deep love for flowers, especially red roses, which were her favorite. She had a passion for crafting and was a talented artist. One of her greatest joys was creating personalized scrapbooks for each of her grandchildren’s graduations, a labor of love that brought her immense pride.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Carol A. Williams; her daughters, Jan Tankersley (Mark) and Joy Lampley (Ronnie); her son, Russell Williams (Susan); her grandchildren, Carole-Anne Craft (Wayne), Hudson Tankersley (Audrey Ann), Anderson Lampley, and Julia Lampley; her great-granddaughter, Autumn Craft; and a great-grandson on the way, Brooks Wayne Craft. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth McClellan.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her siblings: Evelyn Manley, Dennis McClellan, Gary McClellan, and Howard McClellan.
