Joan Cooke Andrade, 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.
Born on January 28, 1963, in Manassas, VA, Joan was the beloved daughter of Edna Beal Cooke and the late Clyde Frederick Cooke. She was also the devoted wife of the late David Manuel Andrade.
Joan found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep love for gardening, spending countless hours tending to her flowers and creating beauty around her. However, her greatest happiness came from the unconditional love of her dogs—they were her cherished companions and brought immense joy to her days.
She is survived by her loving mother, Edna Cooke; her brothers, Ronnie Cooke, Stephen Cooke, and Warren Cooke; her sisters, Trish Julian (Mike) and Darlene Hughes (Charles); as well as her nephews, Christopher Newton (Melissa) and Brian Cooke. Joan was preceded in death by her father, husband, and her dear nephew, Jason Newton.
A celebration of Joan’s life will be held at a later date.
