Jim Bennett

Mr. James “Jim” Orin Bennett, Jr., age 83, of York, SC passed away on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, November 17th, 2023 at Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1184 N Shiloh Rd York, SC, with Pastor Tom McPhail officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the committal.

Jim was born on February 20th, 1940 in Sharon, SC. He was the son of the late Orin Bennett and Rossie Ferguson Bennett. He was a member of Beth Shiloh Presbyterian Church, a member of the 416 Corinthians Masonic Lodge in Newport, SC, and a veteran of the US Navy.

Jim is survived by his wife, Joyce Chambers Bennett; his sons, James Orin Bennett, III (Melissa), Craig Thomas Bennett (Amy); and his grandchildren, Adeline Marie Bennett, Easton James Bennett.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Sam Bennett.
