Della Jean Albert Gill, 83, of Sharon, SC was called home to join her beloved husband in heaven on Monday, November 28, 2022.
Jean was born on September 22, 1939 and grew up on Tallery Mountain in True, WV. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Jean was a retired floral designer and known for many beautiful arrangements she prepared for the television show “In the Heat of the Night” filmed in Convington, Ga. She was the daughter of the late George Paris Albert and Wanona Lilly Albert and the widow of Loren Charlton Gill. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her grandson, Loren Keith Gill and siblings, Ruby Albert, Iris Fuller, Howard Albert, Ray Albert, Fred Albert, and Doris Albert.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Lora Kimball and her husband, Joe; and Catherine Masters and her husband, Tim. She was also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda Jean Kimball Dover, Joe W. Kimball, Jr. (Amy) and Stephen Anthony Masters; and great grandchildren, Wesley J. Dover, Guy S. Kimball, Bentley L. Kimball, Libby B. Korver, and Henry W. Kimball and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Sharon Baptist Church, 3850 York St. Sharon, SC 29742. A memorial service celebrating the life of Jean will start at 11 am at the church.
