Janice (McCarter) Betchler

Janice McCarter Betchler, age 80, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at her home.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 6-7 PM at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC 29745. The memorial service will begin at 7 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev Clifford Cochran officiating.

Janice was born on August 24, 1943 in York, SC. She was the daughter of the late John Leonard McCarter, Sr.  and Beatrice Mull McCarter and the wife of the late Charles Robert Betchler.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Kelly Childers (Chris), and her step daughter, Gayle Crowe. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kyndal Williams, Leighlyn Clinton, Carolyn McIntyre (Brian), and Cynthia Jones (Ben), along with her great grandchildren Brianna Miller McKenzie Miller, Brayden McIntyre, Alexis McIntyre and Archer Bailey and her brother Roger Mull McCarter.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janice was preceded in death by two siblings Mary Alice Webber and J. L. McCarter and her stepson Richard Betchler.
