James McFarland Bigger

James “Jim” McFarland Bigger; 66, passed away on December 16, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

The son of the late James McKee Bigger and Betty McFarland Bigger, Jim was born on February 7, 1959, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was a graduate of York Comprehensive High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina. After retiring from the SC Department of Transportation, he enjoyed raising cattle on the family farm.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Bratton Funeral Home; 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC. with the service to follow at 11:00 am in the chapel. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in York.

Jim is survived by numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Bigger.
