Ida (Jenkins) Heffner

Ms. Ida Jenkins Heffner, age 77 of Sharon, SC passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 29th, 2024.

A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at Rose Hill Cemetery in York, SC with the Reverend Jack B. Mounts, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

Ida was born on December 9th, 1946 in Gastonia, NC. She was the daughter of the late Junies A. Jenkins, Sr. and Ruby Houston Jenkins and was the widow of Larry Dean Heffner. Ida had a love for flowers, windchimes, and collecting pens, but her greatest love was her love for her family.

Ida is survived by her daughters, Ruby King (Dion), Della Payne (Tommy), Wanda Wheeler (Michael), her twelve grandchildren, and her twenty great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Ida was preceded in death by her son, David Heffner, a grandson, Richard King, her five brothers, and three sisters.
