Helen B. Caputo, 92, of York, SC, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at White Oak Manor of Rock Hill, SC.

Helen was born on May 25, 1929 in York County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Carson Lattimore and Mamie Spencer Lattimore and was the widow of Vincent James Caputo. She was a member of First Baptist Church in York, SC.

Helen is survived by her sons, William R. “Billy” Benfield and his wife Pat of Rock Hill, SC, John Thomas “Tommy” Benfield, Sr. and his wife Lynne of York, SC, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
