Grace (McAbee) Eskew

Grace McAbee Eskew, 85, of York, SC passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at White Oak Manor, York, SC.

Visitation  will be from 1 PM until 2 PM on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC. The funeral service will be held at Bratton Funeral Home immediately following the visitation with Rev. Sam Murphy officiating.

Grace was born on April 3, 1937, in York County. She was the daughter of the late Frank McAbee and Inez White McAbee. Grace was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Sharon, SC.

Grace is survived by her children: Phillip George (Elise) of Matthews, NC and Rhonda George; her sister, Reola Roland; her grandchildren:  Jeremy Privette,  Jason Privette, Candis Ruiz, Leah Oglesby, Kari Oglesby, Curtis George, Jennifer George, and  Shannon George; her great grandchildren:  Shan Towner, Jr., Taylor Privette, Catrina Morrison, Cayla Matthews, Eli Privette, Tristan Privette, Darby Privette,  Nathaniel Helms, Ayden Horton, Jessennia Ruiz, Alicia Ruiz, Joshua Amon, Jr., George Oglesby, Mae George, Thomas Forster, Michael Wax, Brittany Wax, Dillon Towner, Gracie Towner (named after Grace), and David Towner as well as  her great great grandchildren, Waylon Privette and Dakoda Matthews.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Eskew, her daughter Marsha Privette, and her siblings Allen McAbee, Evelyn George, and Thelma Hartsoe .
