Gary Jack Hershelman

Mr. Gary Jack Hershelman, age 62 of York, SC passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM on Sunday, May 5th, 2024 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC. A service celebrating the life of Gary will be held at 3 PM in the chapel of Bratton Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas McPhail officiating.

Gary was born on March 10th, 1962 in Conneaut, Ohio. He was the son of Ruby Catherine Gee Hershelman and the late Jack Leroy Hershelman.

Gary graduated from Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics in 1982. He was an aviation mechanic for Piedmont / US Air for 25 years. After retiring he pursued a career in Audio/ Video and  computer programming for Solutionz, Inc.

In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by his wife, Sally Ann Andrews Hershelman, and his sons, Andrew James Hershelman and Aaron Lee Hershelman (Stamie). Also surviving are his siblings: Terry Hershelman (Cita), Kim Holt (Tony), Robert Hershelman, Greg Hershelman (Peggy), and Tammy Hailey (Larry).

Gary had such passions as taking his dogs for long walks,  riding his motorcycle, tennis, going to rock concerts with his sons and taking care of the local wild life.
