Garry Lamar Harris

Garry Lamar Harris, 69, passed away on Wednesday, August 07, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 11-12 noon at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC 29745. The funeral service will begin at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 Filbert Hwy York, SC 29745.

Garry was born on January 14, 1955 in Gastonia, NC. He was the son of the late Otis Monroe Harris and Mamie Coleman Harris.

Garry is survived by his wife, Sarah Patterson Harris; his sons, Matthew Harris (Tina) and Benjamin Harris (Mandy): his grandchildren, Travis Harris, Dillon Harris, and Brittany Smith: and his great grandchildren, Luna Smith and Oliver Smith.  Also surviving are his brothers, Emory Harris, Ronnie Harris (Marie), and Tucker Harris (Donna) along with his sisters-in-law, Jenny Harris and Barbara Harris.

In addition to his parents, Garry was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles “Bug” Harris and Jerry Harris.
