Frank Dickson

Mr. James “Frank” Franklin Dickson, age 92 of York, SC passed away on Saturday, May 6th, 2023.

The funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, May 12th, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church, 10 West Liberty St. York, SC, with Pastor Nick Setzer officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens where the family will receive friends following the committal. Military Honors will be performed by VFW Post 12136 Honor Guard to conclude the graveside service.

Frank was born on August 27, 1930 in York, SC. He was the son of the late Edward Meek Dickson and Margaret Jane Currence Dickson. He was a graduate of Clemson University, class of 1958 and retired from the SCDOT (South Carolina Department of Transportation). Frank was a member of First Presbyterian Church in York and was a veteran of the US ARMY having served in the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Purcell Dickson; sons, David F. Dickson (Trish), Mark A. Dickson (Susan); and grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Dickson and Mark Alexander Dickson, II.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathryn Ruth Dickson; his sisters, Mary Emma Dickson, Margaret Doyle, Mabel Boyd; and his brothers, Edward Currence Dickson and John Robert Dickson.
