Frances Adlean (Fortner) Moss

Ms. Frances Adlean Fortner Moss, age 67, of Sharon, SC passed away on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023 at White Oak Manor of York, SC.

A memorial service for Frances will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Canaan Church located at 4810 Canaan Church Road, Smyrna, SC 29743 with Rev. Ken Spaulding officiating.

Frances was born on February 12th, 1956 in Baltimore, MD. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Fortner and Joann Moser Fortner and was the widow of Junius Horace Moss. She was employed with United Mailing Service and was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church in York, SC.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Krystle Baine (Sam, Jr.), Shirley Clark; her son, Michael Lawhorn (Kara); grandchildren: Sam Baine (Caleigh), Nick Baine, Gracie Baine, Brandon Todd, and Lili Lawhorn; her great granddaughter, Ryleigh Baine; and her siblings, Nancy Fortner, Glenn Fortner, and Starlet Neeley.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Brandon Todd and Kai Maxwell for taking such good care of Mawmaw; and to all the caregivers, Diane Maxwell, Hope Parton, Tiffany Puckett, Tracy Waldrop, Hope Steadman Ruiz, Tina Thompson Bolin, and last but not least Doris Thomas, for putting a smile on mom’s face and filling her heart with love and joy.
