Faye (Roberts) Parsons

Faye Roberts Parsons, 89, of McConnells, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Olivet Presbyterian Church, 159 Church St. McConnells, SC 29726, with the service following the visitation.  Reverend Chip McArthur will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at other times at her daughter Debbie Parsons’ home in Chester, SC.

Faye was born on November 11, 1935, in Charlotte, NC.  She was the daughter of the late William Leonard Roberts and Cora Jane Blackwelder Roberts, and was the widow of W.L. Parsons. She was a retired Executive Secretary with First Federal Savings and Loan in Rock Hill, SC, among other occupations. She was a faithful member of Olivet Presbyterian Church where she served in many roles working with the youth. She taught various Sunday School classes at Olivet Presbyterian Church and she was leader of Olivet Game Night, director of Olivet Bible School, Chairman of a circle for Olivet shut-ins and she organized the Cadette and Senior Girl Scout Troops at Olivet and was their leader.

Faye is survived by her daughters, Deborah “Debbie” Parsons and Teresa P. Hogue (Robert). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Alexander “Trent” Hogue (Kelli), and Christi Hogue Turner (Walter) and great grandchildren Judah Walter Turner and Lilli Faye Turner, along with numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Faye was preceded in death by her siblings Mildred Roberts, Edward Roberts, Melvin Roberts, Pauline Burris, and Herman Roberts.         

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olivet Presbyterian Church Cemetery Association or Hospice and Community Care, 2275 India Hook Rd. Rock Hill, SC 29732.
