Faye (McCarter) Jones

Faye McCarter Jones, age 83, of Clover, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025. She was born on October 11, 1941, to the late Lizzie and Monroe McCarter.

Faye was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found joy in the simple pleasures of life and the love of her family.

She is survived by her children: Sandra Kohrman (Joe), Eddie Jones, Rebecca Sink (Jack), Melinda Jones, and LeeAnn Brakefield. In addition to her children, she was blessed with a large and loving extended family, including numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Jones; her brothers, Roger, Paul, Oliver, and Bill McCarter; her parents, Lizzie and Monroe McCarter; and her son-in-law, Gene McAfee.

Her legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Mountain View Baptist Church located at 1560 Piedmont Rd Blacksburg, SC 29702. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm with Reverend Tommy Hope officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
