Ernest Robert Wright

Mr. Ernest “Ernie” Robert Wright, age 77, of Rock Hill, SC passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, March 8th, 2024 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, March 11, 2024 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 22 East Liberty St. York, SC, with Pastor Wanda Altman-Shirah officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Ladies Parlor.

Ernie was born on September 3rd, 1946 in Rock Hill, SC. He was the son of the late Clyde Amos Wright and Tressie Key Wright Adams. Ernie worked as a paramedic for over  30 years having served York and Chester Counties. He was a member of Trinity UMC in York.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Laura Adams Wright; his daughter, Emily Wright; and his grandchildren, Michael Tyler Wright and Hannah Wright (Daniel Gambardella). In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his son, Michael Wright; and his brothers, Henry, Benny, Amos, and Bill Wright.
