Emily (Ellis) Ellis-Dyer

Ms. Emily Ann Ellis-Dyer, age 80, of York, SC passed away on Thursday, August 29th, 2024.

Emily was born on October 2nd, 1943 in Hattiesburg, MS. She was the daughter of the late Bernice Ellis and Docia Louise Oliphant Ellis and was the widow of Ronnie Dyer. Emily worked in the medical field as an office manager before retiring. Emily enjoyed attending services at the Liberty Church in York, SC. Emily could often be found crafting, gardening, and tending to her beloved animals. Emily had many skills and talents and enjoyed sharing them with her family. Emily had a fondness for dragonflies and they will always serve as a loving reminder of her for her family. 

Emily is survived by her daughter, Shannon Owen; her grandchildren, Danny Warren, Logan Owen, and Ronin Owen; her daughter-in-law, Allison Warren; her sister, Marilyn Hunter; and her three precious fur babies, Deegan, LuLu and Sammy.

In addition to her parents and husband, Emily was preceded in death by her son, Dan “Big Dan” Warren.

An informal celebration of life will be held at her home at 6:30 pm on Friday, October 11th, 2024.
