Edward Carl Montgomery

Edward Carl Montgomery, 94, of York, SC, peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Cemetery, located at 3852 Woodlawn St., Sharon, SC 29742. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

Born in York County on November 17, 1930, Ed was the son of the late Carl Montgomery and Blanche Irene Bolin Montgomery. He was the devoted husband of the late Juliet Cobb Montgomery and a lifelong member of Central Baptist Church in York, SC.

Ed is survived by his sons, Keith Montgomery (Cindy) and Kevin “Starsky” Montgomery; his grandchildren, Kristy Montgomery (Chase), Monty Montgomery (Megan), James Ivey, and Anna Gray Shannon (Jason); and his great-grandchildren, Mason Montgomery, Gunner Pickett, Gage Pickett, and Gentry Pickett. He is also survived by his brothers, Walt Montgomery (Becky) and John Montgomery, as well as his son-in-law, Freddy Ivey.

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Ivey.
