Edward Endres, 81, of York, SC passed away on October 6, 2023 at his home.
The visitation will be on Wednesday October 11, 2023
from 1:30 P M until 2:30 P M at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC with the funeral service starting at 2:30 P M officiated by Rev/Dr Sam Murphy. The interment with Military Honors provided by VFW Post 12136 Honor Guard will be immediately following the funeral at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 Filbert Hwy, York, SC.
Edward was born on July 10, 1942 in Astoria, Illinois to Donald and Eleanor Endres. Edward retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the US Navy, Submarines after 20 years and retired as Postmaster after 20 years with the United States Postal Service.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda Love Endres. Edward is also survived by son Sean Endres, daughters Michelle Endres Gasparino (Mike), and Monica Endres all of Connecticut, step children Sherri Tober (Gary) of Clover, SC, Brian Rollins (Becca) of York and Mark Rollins (Jamie) of Beaverton, Oregon, one brother, Albert Endres (Ann) and one sister, Linda Westover of Oregon and many nieces and nephews. Edward is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Briana Santiago (Javier), Garrett and Ryan Gasparino of Connecticut, Gabriel and Eliott Rollins of York, SC, Dayne (Taylor) and Cynthia Tober of Kings Mountain, NC, Jessica Chamberlain (Carter) of Lancaster, SC, Blaine Larsen, John Peterson (Alea), Justin Pitts, Brianna and Bailee Brady of Oregon. Great granddaughters, Evie Santiago of CT, Terra Love Chamberlain of Lancaster, SC, Alaya Brady, and great grandson Grainge Peterson of Oregon.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his sister, Harriet Kalleck (Harold).
Edward will be remembered as a wonderful husband with a beautiful soul. He loved to deer hunt and set up camp in Eastern Oregon with his best friends, Gordon and Gary, Duane and Albert.
Salmon fishing, camping, dirt biking near Mt. Hood, Oregon was always joyful and exciting family times. We will all miss you, Ed, and always carry your precious memory in our hearts.
