Edith (England) Helms

Ms. Edith England Helms, age 87, of Tega Cay, SC and formerly of 585 Windy Hill Rd. in York, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 20th, 2023.

A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, April 24th, 2023 at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227, with Pastor Todd Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside service.

Ms. Edith was born on March 22nd, 1936 in Forsyth County, NC. She was the daughter of the late George Dewey England and Pansy Victoria Ramsey England and was the widow of Lloyd Franklin Helms. She worked as a postal worker and was a devoted Atlanta Braves fan, and a lifelong member of York Wesleyan Church in York, SC.

Ms. Edith is survived by her daughters, Gayle Bolding (Jeff Harris), Brenda Novak (Beni), Annette Hefner; her son, Michael Ray Helms (Teresa); her brother, Ken England (Carmaine); and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was preceded in death by her siblings: Faye Hendrix, Mac England, Terry England, James England, WR England, Clarence England, Pat Clinard, and Pansy Harvey.
