Ed Hubert Turner

Mr. Edwin H. Turner, age 84, of York, SC passed away on Saturday, April 20th, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC, and other times at the family’s home. A graveside service will be held at 11am the following day, Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, at Lakeview Memory Gardens located at 1774 Filbert Hwy York, SC. Pastor Barry Philbeck from Love Valley Baptist Church will be officiating the graveside service.

Ed was born on March 18th, 1940 in Ashe, NC. He was the son of the late Aubrey Joseph Turner and Alene Sawyer Turner. He retired from Western Auto before becoming the owner and operator of Ed Turner Hauling. Most of his free time you would find Ed working on his farm.

Ed is survived by his wife, Pamela Yost Turner; his children, Sayra Johnson (Jeremiah), Edwin Walter Turner (Mallory), and Scottie White (Susan); his grandchildren, Vivien Johnson, Travis White, and Trenton White; and his sister, Patsy Lumston (Ken). In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his sister, Geneva Blevins.
