Doris Ann (Shipton) Turnage

Mrs. Doris Ann Shipton Turnage, age 67, of Sharon, SC, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at her home.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday April 23, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. A memorial service celebrating Doris’ life will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Dustin Peterson officiating.

Doris was born on March 7, 1959, in Cherokee County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Vinnie Shipton.

Doris is survived by her husband Martin Turnage, Jr.; her children Emily Turnage and Jamie Turnage; and her cherished grandchildren Mari, Riyah, Arielle, Grace, Asher, Kinsley, Jae, and Tyler. She is also survived by her siblings David Shipton (Susan), Pete Chandler (Andrea), George Chandler (Debbie), John Lowery, and Dorothy Norton.

In addition to her mother, Doris was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters.
