Doris Jean (Russell) Adams

Mrs. Doris Jean Russell Adams, age 80, of McConnells, SC passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC. The funeral service will be held the next day at 3pm at First Baptist Church of McConnells, 4189 Chester Hwy McConnells, SC 29726, with Pastor Greg Zolninger officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens of York.

Doris was born on March 16th, 1944 in Charlotte, NC. She was the daughter of the late Benjamine Luther Russell and Mary Lee Hough Tarleton. She was a member of First Baptist Church in McConnells, SC.

Doris is survived by her husband, Tommie Carr Adams; her daughters, Julia Bean, Carolyn Adkins (Tommy); her grandchildren: Tyler Morton (Sabrina), Samantha Bechtler (Mitchell), Taylor Hawkins (Dylan), Tucker Adkins, Ruth Cox (Hunter), Mary Adkins, Roy Adkins, and Zebby Adkins; her great grandchildren: Makayla Morton, Nicholas Morton, and Emma Cox; and her niece, Angela McFalls.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Cindy T. Chapman and her son-in-law, William Bean.
