Dennis Keith Harper, Jr.

Mr. Dennis Keith "Kenny" Harper, Jr., 62, of York, South Carolina, entered into his eternal home on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Highway, York, SC 29745. The family will also receive friends at their home in Filbert at other times.

A celebration of Kenny's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Bible Covenant Community Church, 1712 Lincoln Road, York, SC, with the Reverend Andrew Bashwinger officiating.

Born on August 7, 1963, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Kenny was the son of Dennis Keith Harper, Sr. and the late Mary Frances Nichols Harper. He was the devoted husband of Lynn Bailes "Wendy" Harper, with whom he shared a life built on faith, love, and family.

A 1981 graduate of York Comprehensive High School, Kenny spent more than 20 years with Bryant Electric Supply, where he was well known throughout the area for delivering supplies and building lasting friendships with customers. He later worked at Cummins (Meritor) in York. Above all, Kenny was a faithful member of Bible Covenant Community Church, where his faith and kind spirit were evident to all who knew him.

Kenny found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the USC Gamecocks and the Dallas Cowboys, he  loved spending time outdoors, relaxing on beach vacations, tubing in the mountains, and enjoying seafood. Nothing, however, quite matched his love for a good old-fashioned cheeseburger. More than anything, Kenny cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Wendy Harper; his daughter, Chloe Faith Harper; his father, Dennis Keith Harper, Sr.; his stepmother, Arbie Harper; his beloved mother-in-law, Margaret Bailes; his brother, Bobby Bryan Harper (Rebecca); his sisters, Vanessa Stephens (Keith) and Joanna Powell (Jerry); along with many nieces, and nephews, whom he loved deeply.

In addition to his mother, Kenny was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Harper Adams.
