David Wayne Brooks

David Wayne Brooks, 67, of Clover, SC passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. The memorial service will begin at 5:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Eric Alexander officiating.

Born on September 2, 1958, he was the son of the late Walter Eugene Brooks and Annie Mae Messer Brooks. He worked most of his life as a truck driver and lay minister.

David is survived by his wife, Evelyn Knox Brooks, his children, Christopher Brooks (Latoya) and Amanda Bajenski (Jeremy), along with his grandchildren, Jace Bajenski, Gideon Bajenski, Lily Bajenski and his nephew William Brooks (Rossie).

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Messer, Louree Brooks, and Gene Brooks.
