David Glenn Blake

 Mr. David Glenn Blake, age 82 of York, SC passed away at his home and surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 7th, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 2-3PM on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 at Filbert Presbyterian Church in the church’s fellowship hall. The funeral service will begin at 3 PM in the church sanctuary with Pastor Dave Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Sharon, SC.

David was born on July 2nd, 1941 in Gastonia, NC. He was the son of the late Paul William Blake and Essie Mize Blake and the widower of Linda Collins Blake. He retired from Duke Energy and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Sharon, SC.

David is survived by his sons, Jeff Blake and his wife, Penny, Tim Blake; daughters, Teresa Parham and her husband, Rick, Crystal Sandifer and her husband, Grier; sisters, Patricia Rick and Polly Ervin (Jack). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Zachary Blake, Micheala Blake, Blakely Sandifer, and Caroline Sandifer; great granddaughter, River Parkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, David was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Ellen Blake and his brother Wayne Blake.
