Danny Carl Martin

Mr. Danny Martin, 80, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024. 

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church at Pleasant Hill, 15000 York Rd. Charlotte, NC 28278. Officiants for the service will be Rev./Dr. Jeff Pinkston, Rev./Dr. Bob Jack and Rev. Dexter Greene.  The interment will immediately follow the service at the church cemetery.  Following the interment, a reception will be held at the Red Fez Shrine Club, 16600 Red Fez Road, Charlotte, NC 28278.

Born in Abilene, Tx., Danny was a son of the late George Carl and Nelle Holton Martin.  He was a member of Steele Creek Presbyterian Church at Pleasant Hill and served in the N. C. National Guard. He was a mechanical engineer with Everlock and owner/operator of Pete’s Bait and Tackle. He was past president of Red Fez Shrine Club, captain of the Oasis Steel Drum Band, and served on the Citizens on Patrol of Lake Wylie.

Danny is survived by his wife, Judy Bowman Martin; his daughter, Kelly Martin Zike (Bobby); his grandchildren, Lucas and Ellianne; and his brother, F. Ray Martin.
