Cindy Waunell (Deen) Smith

Mrs. Cindy Waunell Deen Smith, age 76, of Clover, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 25, 2025.

A memorial service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Clover, located at 117 S. Main Street, Clover, SC 29710. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.

Born on July 17, 1949, in Alma, GA, Cindy was the daughter of the late Laverne Nichols Deen. She worked as a computer programmer and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church Clover. Cindy loved riding horses and watching hummingbirds, but above all, she cherished her family.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Troy Lee Smith, Sr.; her children, Anissa Smith Lee (Robert), Tracie Smith Lake (Stuart), and Troy Lee Smith (Jessica); her grandchildren, Payton Smith (Kaylee), Hayden Lake, and Georgia Smith; and her sisters, Louise Richardson and Johnnie Nell Evans.

In addition to her mother, Cindy was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita, and her brother, Walter.
