Charles Wayne Cochran

Mr. Charles “Charlie” Wayne Cochran, age 56, of Gastonia, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

All services will be private.

Charlie was born on March 28, 1970, in Rock Hill, SC. He was the son of Barbara Stewart Brittain and the late Randall Dean Cochran. Charlie loved his family, was a fantastic carpenter and also was an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his mother, Charlie is survived by his stepfather, Jacob M. Brittain; his grandchildren, Brantley Cochran and Ziley Cochran; his uncles, Sidney Stewart, Jr. (Joan) and Jessie Stewart; and his aunt, Margaret Medlin.

In addition to his father, Charlie was preceded in death by his son, Cody Wayne Cochran.
