Charles Edward Bradley, Sr.

Mr. Charles Edward Bradley, Sr., age 78, of Sharon, SC, passed away peacefully at Hospice and Community Care on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745. A funeral service will be held the following day at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, April 23, at Hickory Grove Church of God, 5701 Wylie Ave., Hickory Grove, SC 29717, with Reverend Joseph Farmer and Reverend Mike Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Church of God Cemetery.

Charles was born on December 28, 1946, in York, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Edward Warren Bradley and Sarah Childers Bradley. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired from the National Guard. Charles was also a devoted member of Hickory Grove Church of God.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth “Rebekah” Farmer Bradley; his son, Charlie Bradley, Jr.; and his sister, Emily Moss (Danny). He is also survived by nephews, John Bradley, Bobby Bradley, Danny Moss Jr., and Matthew Watson; nieces, Sarah Moss and Sarah Beth Hinkle; as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, John R. Bradley.
