Brook Gilfillan

Ms. Brooklyn “Brook” Leigh Gilfillan, age 36, of Clover, SC, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Gloryland Baptist Church, 2785 Legion Rd., Smyrna, SC 29743. A funeral service will begin at 4:00 PM with Pastor Sam Baine, Jr. and Pastor Holden Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Chester, SC.

Brook was born on May 10, 1990, in York County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Pastor Jeffrey Lee Gilfillan and Karen Beard Gilfillan. Brook was a true “social butterfly” who loved fiercely and always greeted others with her beautiful smile. She had a gift for making those around her feel loved and welcomed. Brook especially enjoyed watching her children play sports, taking trips to the beach, and soaking up the sunshine. She was a graduate of Clover High School and a devoted member of Gloryland Baptist Church, where she cherished hearing her father preach the gospel.

Brook is survived by her beloved children, Jace Gilfillan, Makayleigh Mackins, and Kyrie Floyd; her parents, Jeff and Karen Gilfillan; her brother, Bradley Gilfillan (Annie); her sister, Elizabeth Gilfillan; her aunt, Alisa “Lisa” Gilfillan; her uncle, Johnny B. Gilfillan; her nieces, Norah Gilfillan, Grace Gilfillan, and Aaliyah Gilfillan; and her nephew, Gabriel Gilfillan.
