Brenda (Ramsey) Robbins

Brenda Ramsey Robbins, of Hickory Grove, South Carolina, passed away on March 13, 2025. Born on March 16, 1952 in York, South Carolina, Brenda lived a life marked by dedication to family, community service, and faith.

After graduating from high school, Brenda married Tommy Robbins, her soulmate. Their lifelong commitment to each other was a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Brenda also built a career at the York County Auditor’s Office where she worked as a supervisor until her retirement.

Beyond her professional life, Brenda had a passion for cooking and baking, which she enjoyed until her health declined. She was deeply involved in her community, volunteering with the local fire department and rescue squad. A devoted fan of southern gospel music, she attended numerous concerts and conventions over the years.

Brenda’s faith was an essential part of her life. She had the profound experience of traveling to the Holy Land twice and was baptized in the Jordan River. She attended church faithfully until physical limitations prevented her from being there in person.

Brenda is survived by her beloved husband, Tommy Robbins; her brothers Mike (Marilyn) Ramsey of Fountain Inn, Jimmy (Kim) Ramsey of Sharon, and Gene (Marie) Ramsey of Sharon; one niece Meagan (Chad) Briggs; nephews Michael (Rynn) Ramsey, Grant (Megan) Ramsey, Josh Ramsey, Christian (Stevie) Ramsey, and Jacob (Laura) Ramsey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Brice Ramsey and Dorothy Spencer Ramsey.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bratton Funeral Home, located at 1455 Filbert Hwy., York, SC. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Bullocks Creek Presbyterian Church, 7386 Lockhart Hwy., Sharon, SC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
