Bobby Stewart

Mr. Robert William Stewart, lovingly known as “Bobby,” passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the age of 45.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1130 Alexander Love Hwy, York, SC 29745. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Bishop Lanee Bradford Adamson. Interment will take place in York, SC. The family will be at the home of his mother and father, Robbie and Arlene Stewart, 1739 Conner’s Lane, York SC. 

Born on September 17, 1979, in York, SC, Bobby was the beloved son of Robert “Robbie” Stewart and Arlene Sutton Stewart. He was a devoted father to Lila Marie Stewart and Robert Eventide Stewart and a cherished former husband to Ashley DeWindt Smith. Bobby was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he played a significant role in the church community.

Bobby’s warmth, kindness, and faith touched many lives. In addition to his parents, Bobby is survived by his sister, Michelle Hyland (Kris); his brother, Daniel Lee Stewart; his former mother and father-in-law, Juan and Tammy Vargas; and his nieces and nephews: Keegan Hyland, Myiah Stewart, Saylor Sutton, Kylee Sutton, Connor Hyland, Sebastian Lee Stewart (Kelsey), Fabian Nathaniel Stewart, and Spencer Sutton.
