Bobbie Jean (McCully) Ashley

Ms. Bobbie Jean McCully Ashley, age 93, of Chester, SC passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at MUSC Health Chester Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 269 Flint Hill Rd. Fort Mill, SC 29715, with Pastor David Brannen officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

Bobbie was born on October 9, 1931, in Pineville, NC. She was the daughter of the late George M. McCully and Carrie Keefe McCully. She was the devoted wife of the late Ansel Ashley, Jr. and a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Sharon, SC.

Bobbie is survived by her loving children, Joyce Brannen (David) and Curtis Ashley; her grandchildren, LeAnn Ross (Paul), Kimberly Branham (Eric), David A. Brannen (Allyson), Brian Ashley, and Rodney Ashley (Andria). Also left to cherish her memories are her nine great grandchildren, her four great-great grandchildren, and her brother, Kenneth McCully.

In addition to her husband and parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her brothers, James McCully, Charles McCully, Donald McCully, and her sister, Joyce Dagenheart.

In memory of Bobbie Jean Ashley, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 4619 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd. Chester, SC 29706.
