Bill Whitesides

Mr. William “Bill” Baxter Whitesides, age 82, of Clover, SC passed away on Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, April 18th, 2024 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC, and other times at the son, Dustin’s home, 3010 Hillcrest Rd. York, SC. A graveside service will be held the following day at 3pm at Beersheba Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 130 S. Beersheba Rd. Clover, SC 29710, with Pastor Greg Marshall officiating.

Bill was born on April 26th, 1941 in Rock Hill, SC. He was the son of the late Elma Boyce Whitesides and Nettie Ann Jackson Whitesides. He was a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Temple Presbyterian Church in Clover, SC.

Bill is survived by his wife, Brenda Adams Whitesides, his sons, Derek Whitesides (Makee), Dustin Whitesides (Cayla); his grandchildren: Matt McMaster, Josh Whitesides, Alyssa Whitesides, Cooper Whitesides, Huntley Whitesides; his great granddaughter, Kensley McMaster; his brother, Carl Whitesides (Minnie); and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Ann Scoggins.
