Betty Jean (Scronce) Rimmer

Betty Jean Scronce Rimmer, age 73, of York, SC passed away on Thursday, September 28th, 2023 at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm on Monday, October 2nd, 2023 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy York, SC. A memorial service celebrating the life of Ms. Jean will begin at 3 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Brad Vassey officiating.

Jean was born on April 30th, 1950 in Union, SC. She was the daughter of the late Parley Vince Scronce and Amanda Sara Spencer Scronce. She was a homemaker. She graduated from York High School and was a proud Green Dragon.

Jean is survived by her husband, Richard Carlton Rimmer; her children, Jennifer Brown Thompson, Michael Shane Brown, and Jason Kyle Brown; and her sister, Ann Scronce.
