Betty Jo (Wilson) Payne

Betty Jo Wilson Payne, 86, passed away Friday, April 07, 2023 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. The graveside service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Sharon Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. David Sealy, Rev. Ralph Sparrow and Mrs. Kim Sparrow officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.

Betty Jo was a daughter of the late Gordon Herman Wilson and Lillie Warren Wilson. She was the widow of James Vernon Payne. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. She was retired from the accounting department at General Tire and Rubber Company in Charlotte, NC, and also worked for 11 years at Stacy’s green house in the sales department. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Goettsch (Guy), grandchildren Josh Hord (Brittney), and Emily Parrish (Trey) and great grandchildren Jeb Parrish and Mae Parrish. Also her aunt Sue Childers, her niece Peggy Covington (Bill) and nephew Darrell Wilson. The family would like to thank her care givers Fran McDuffie, Brenda and Bobby Williams along with the late Tracy Wilson.
