Betty (Hines) Carroll

Mrs. Betty Hines Carroll, age 86, of York, SC, went home to be with the Lord peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at home.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC 29745 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.  

Betty was born on October 12, 1939 in York, SC. She was the daughter of the late Paul Hines and Ruby Jane Lanning Hines. And she was the widow of Meek Wallace Carroll. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, and retired from Cannon Mills and Champion Laboratory.  

She is survived by her children; Sharon Dover (Gary), Donna Ashe (Randy), Terry Carroll-Good and her grandchildren; Jennifer Taylor (Jonathan) and Brittany Martin (Brandon). She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Jon Jacob Taylor, Jenna Belle Taylor, Keaton Martin and Evie Martin.

In addition to her parents and husband Betty was preceded in death by her siblings; Nellie Hines, Geraldine Franklin, Joanna Lemmons, Alice Williams, Bobby Hines, Billy Hines, Paul Hines, Clyde Hines and Charles Hines.
