Mrs. Betty Lee Love Bolin, age 86, of Smyrna, SC passed away on September 6, 2024, at her home.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday September 10th, at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC. And also, from 1-2 pm on Wednesday September 11th, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 4619 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd., Chester, SC. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Ed Melvin officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in York, SC.
Mrs. Bolin was born September 16, 1937, in Chester, SC and was the daughter of the late John G. Love and Rosa McWatters Love. She was a graduate of Chester High School and a lifetime member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church where she served for many years as a Sunday School Teacher and church secretary. Betty enjoyed watching Judge Judy, spending time with her family and was known by many for her lemon pound cake.
She is survived her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Bolin of the home, her daughter Robin B. Bramblett of Smyrna, SC, her son Mike Bolin (Meladie) of York, SC, one brother, John E. Love of Chester, SC, three grandchildren Allan Bolin (Kayllie), of Lake Wylie, SC, JD Mitchell (Olivia) of Hickory Grove, SC, and Stephanie Kirkland (Scott) of Ludlow, MA, five great-grandchildren Ella Kate, Blair, Raylan, Mattie, and Aiden, Two nephews Ellis Love (Mylynda), and Doug Love (Libby) both of Chester, SC, two nieces Glenda Martin of Chester, SC and Cindi Love Childers of Lockhart, SC and two great-nieces Katelyn Love of Charleston, SC, and Windy M. Hudson, of Chester, SC. Betty also leaves behind three cats Willy, Roscoe, and Maggie.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas J. Love and Melvin D. Love of Chester, SC, her sister-in-law, Robbie Sue Love of Chester, SC, her beloved dogs, Ginger and Gracie and her loving cat Spunky.
