It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lena Beth Dickson Miller of Indian Land, South Carolina on February 20th, 2024, at the age of 98 years. She was predeceased by: her loving husband, Clyde Ramsey Miller: her parents, George Baxter, Sr and Ella Ruth Templeton Dickson; her brothers, Ray Alexander, William Yongue, Herbert Lindsey, Marshall Manalcus, George Baxter, Jr, John Templeton, Edward Neil; and sisters: Carolyn Ervin Ramsey, Ella Ruth Thomas, Miriam Culp, Eugenia Marett, Rebecca Pressley, Margaret Frances Wisher.
Beth was born on the 29th of December 1925 in McConnells, SC and graduated from Rock Hill High School. She retired from Republic Textile Equipment Co. where she was the office manager for over 20 years.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Sandra Beth Miller Bjork (widow of Dr. Paul Edward Bjork, Jr.), and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and colleagues.
Beth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in York, SC where she was a member of the Choir, Ladies Sunday School Class and Ladies Church Circle. She volunteered for over twenty years at the P.A.T.H. ministries thrift store and served on the P.A.T.H. Board as Treasurer. Beth was a long -time member of the Kings Mountain Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution where she served as Registrar for many years.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 pm on Saturday, March 9th, 2024 in the Ladies Parlor at First Presbyterian Church, 22 W. Liberty St. York, SC. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery in York with Pastor Nick Setzer officiating
Memorial tributes in her memory may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Liberty St., York, SC 29745 or consider donating hours of community service to the non-profit of your choice.
