Beth Clinton Obituary

On February 5, 2024, Elizabeth Armour Clinton went home to be with her Lord and Savior.  Beth was born on September 29, 1947.  She was raised in the Tirzah community.  She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and then went on to graduate from the first women’s class of York Technical College.  After that, she married Mike Lineberger.  They built a house in the Filbert area and raised three sons.  Together, they enjoyed a marriage of 30 years. Later, she married Mark Clinton and moved to Bullocks Creek.  She gained another son and two daughters to complete their family.  She and Mark shared a wonderful marriage of 24 years.

Beth enjoyed working for Mike and Debbie at Diversified Signs and Graphics where she considered it “home away from home”.  She also had a book keeping service and diligently assisted many businesses in York over the 40 past years.

Beth was a member of Tirzah ARP Church.  She was an amazing cook and a family favorite was her donut cake.  She enjoyed crocheting when she had free time and would write poems when she had something on her heart.  She also enjoyed an occasional line dance.  She had a fun spirit and lived life to its fullest!

Those to greet her in Heaven were her husband, Robert Michael Lineberger and her parents, Tom Austin and Earldine King Armour, her mother and father-in-law, Jack and Elsie Lineberger and the Armour clan. Those left to carry on her legacy are her husband, Mark Sean Clinton; six children: Lee Lineberger, Robbie Lineberger (Heidi), Jonathan LIneberger (Melissa), Beth Bunn (Gary), Tad Clinton (Wendy), and Hannah Pike (Chris); eight grandchildren: Kristin Haney (Phillip), Katie and Christopher Henderson, Mason and Wade Lineberger, Aurora, Juliet and Luna Constante, her bonus grandson, Mac Adams, and three great grandchildren Sayge, Olivia and Piper Haney. Also surviving are her brother, Tommy Armour and niece, Kelsey Nethken (Kenny), along with great nephew, Knox Nethken.

Beth had lots of lifelong friends and was considered to be a sister to all of them.  She had many “adopted” children who thought of her as “Mama Beth”.  She spoke with wisdom and kindness to all.  The type of beauty that was seen in her was very precious, not only in God’s eyes but to all that knew her.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Tirzah ARP Church Fellowship Hall, 6161 Mt. Gallant Rd. York, SC 29745. The family will celebrate her life the following day at 3 pm at Tirzah ARP with Rev. Andy Putnam officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Tirzah ARP Church.
