Bertie (Anderson) Kitchen

Mrs. Bertie Anderson Kitchen, 88 passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2024 at her home.

A celebration of life for Bertie and Skip Kitchen will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 8787 River Rd., Richmond, Va 23229.

Bertie was born on March 8, 1936 in Macon, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Luther Anderson and Cora Lee Anderson.  Bertie received an associate degree from Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va. and was a retired interior designer. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Richmond, Va.  

Bertie is survived by her sister-in-law Betty K. Mounts and her nephews; Jack B. Mounts, Jr. (Fran Bradham Mounts), Randy Mounts (Miriam), Dallas Mounts (Karima); and many great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bertie was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard “Skip” Lee Kitchen; her siblings, Sandra Lois Cofield (Bobby), James L. Anderson, Sr.
