Benny Steven Moses, 81, of York, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. He was born on November 16, 1944, to the late Aaron Moffett Moses and Louise Teeter Moses.
All services will be private.
Benny was employed with Cannon Mill for many years and also operated the York Motor Lodge. He was a devoted father and a truly wonderful grandpaw. His love for his family was shown in the simple, everyday moments he shared with them, and those memories will be cherished forever.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Evans; grandson, Steven Moses; and brothers, Sherman Moses, Larry Moses, Gary Moses, and Wiley Moses.
He is survived by his brother, Cleve Moses of Clover, South Carolina; his son, Tim Moses of York, South Carolina; his daughter, Debbie Moses; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him dearly and were blessed to call him Paw-Paw.
Benny enjoyed the simple things in life, and somehow those simple moments became the memories his family will hold closest. He enjoyed taking trips through town, stopping by Times Convenience Store to purchase lottery tickets, going to Walmart, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To his grandchildren, he was more than a pawpaw - he was a steady presence, a source of love, and someone who made ordinary days feel special. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
