Ben Bolin

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Benjamin Scott Bolin, affectionately known as "Ben," age 31, of Smyrna, SC, who left us on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

A drop-in celebration of life will be held in his honor from 5-7 PM at Bratton Funeral Home, located at 1455 Filbert Hwy, York, SC, on Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Ben was born on March 10, 1993, in York County, to William Wesley Bolin, II "Bill," and Teresa Childress Rose. He was a dedicated HVAC Technician at Carolina Air Control, where he was known for his skill and commitment. Ben is survived by his cherished son, Scott Bolin, and his son's mother, Hannah Pryor. He is also remembered by his stepmother, Dixie Bolin; his brothers, Conner Bolin, Wes Bolin, III, and Jessie Threatt; and his sister, Krysten Threatt. Additionally, he leaves behind beloved nieces and nephews, as well as his uncles, Todd Bolin (Tasha) and John Chason (Jennifer); his paternal grandmother, Betty Chason (Billy); and his maternal grandfather, Ivan Childress (Helen). Ben’s legacy continues through numerous cousins and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts. Ben was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Wesley Bolin, Sr., and his maternal grandmother, Ruth Childress.
