Barney Roof Stephens, 81, of York, SC passed away on Sunday, September 26,2021 peacefully at her home and surrounded by her loving family.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC with the Reverend Carrie Caldwell officiating.
Barney was born on May 21, 1940 in York, SC. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Roof and Mary Chandler Roof and was the widow of Donald Keith Stephens. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in York, SC.
Barney is survived by her son, Keith Stephens, daughters, Jackie Martin, Tracy Mefford, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barney was preceded in death by her sister, Margie Cornwell and brother, Sammy Roof.
