Mr. Anthony Dale Davis, affectionately known to most as "Heavy," passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the age of 51.
A celebration of Heavy's life will be held at his parents' home on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Heavy was born on October 1, 1974, in York, South Carolina. He was a graduate of York High School, where he was a standout football player. He played in the North South Shriners Football Bowl his senior year. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially loved playing golf and hunting. Heavy was a giant of a man with an even bigger heart. He loved fiercely, lived generously, and was a kind soul who never met a stranger. His warmth, loyalty, and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Zoe De Anda (Koty); his son, Anthony "TJ" Dale Davis, Jr. (Madison); his parents, Bonnie and Sonny Davis; his beloved grandchildren, Luca and Rowan De Anda; his brothers, Billy Davis (Cindy), Denny Davis (Tina), and Randall Davis (Jackie); and his “Grand Dog”, Hattie.
In memory of Anthony "Heavy" Davis, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 2101 Rexford Road, Suite 165W, Charlotte, NC 28211.
