Annie Laurie (Bumgardner) Parker

Ms. Annie Laurie Bumgardner Parker, age 90, of York, SC passed away in peace on Monday, March 24, 2025 at White Oak Manor of York.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 Filbert Hwy York, SC 29745, with Pastor Mark Collins officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

Born on September 20, 1934, in Gaston County, North Carolina, Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Eddleman Bumgardner and Mary Ellen Steele Bumgardner. She was the devoted wife of the late Bobby Ray Parker. In addition to her husband and parents, Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Bumgardner and Kenneth Bumgardner.

Ann’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family. She leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. Ann is survived by her sons, Richard Parker (Susie), Martin Parker (Melissa), and Lamar Parker (Linda); her grandchildren, Franklin Parker (Melody), Laura Parker Robinson (Mike), James Lawson Parker, Heath McGill (Lauren) and Hailey McCarter (Kendall); as well as nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Carolyn Holt and Mary Joyce Pace.

A woman of deep Baptist faith, Ann’s love for her Lord and Savior was unwavering. She found joy in attending church, teaching Sunday School, and sharing her wisdom with others. She also loved shopping, crafting, and spending precious time with her sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff at White Oak Manor in York for their compassionate care and kindness for Mrs. Parker.
